Auto Electrician - Darwin Workshop

Reporting to the Workshop Manager you will be responsible for carrying out repairs and preventative maintenance on all fleet out in the field and workshop. The successful applicant will be able to demonstrate the following:

  • Previous experience in a similar role and the relevant Trade Qualification and air-conditioning ticket is a must
  • Have obtained a nationally recognised construction industry competency (White Card)
  • Diagnose and undertake electrical repairs on a wide variety of light vehicles, heavy haulage and plant equipment using the appropriate diagnostic equipment
  • Undertake electrical installation of accessories and ancillary equipment on light vehicles, heavy haulage and plant equipment
  • Perform preventative maintenance checks and repairs on all electrical equipment and components in accordance to Manufacturers guidelines and Ostojic Group maintenance schedule
  • Connect power-operated vehicle equipment and accessories to power supply
  • Adjust engine control systems and timing
  • Test and replace defective alternators, generators, voltage regulators and starter motors when required
  • Complete all the necessary paperwork for repairs carried out as per requirements
